X: Multiply Your God-Given Potential (Launch Team Meeting)

Everyone has a specific assignment, but the relevance of some assignments to the building of God’s kingdom is not so obvious. This dilemma has caused some people to belittle what God has placed in their lives.

The prevailing mindset amongst believers is to divide their day between sacred and secular activities. Having this mindset is limiting. As a believer, every moment of your day is sacred.

Just as someone is called to be a Pastor another person can be called to the world of business and both must depend on the Holy Spirit.

It is obedience to those little instructions from the Spirit that gives us the edge: that is what makes the difference.

The things that might seem insignificant right now could turn out to be things that carry the most significance.

the mustard seed and tree

We often receive impressions from the Spirit, leading us in a direction. But because we do not see the present impact these decisions have and are not able to connect the dots to see the future implications in building the kingdom, we don’t take it as seriously as we should.

Therefore, there must be trust. You must trust the Spirit and do what HE leads you to do.

The purpose of this book is to develop our faith to multiply our God-given potential.

These gifts (potentials) are not just natural abilities you have but the abilities that God has entrusted you.

These gifts don’t manifest automatically.

A lot of Christians believe that doing all that is required (going to church, being active in church ministry, and being faithful at home): being faithful in their capacity will automatically stir up the gift in them. But we learn that this is not the case.

Timothy was a godly man and was faithful to the call, yet Paul had to write to Timothy that he should stir up the gift in him.

Your faith must be developed to multiply. However, the way your multiplication would occur will be unique. You cannot copy someone else: you can notice the pattern and learn from it, but you must find your way. Your outcome will be different because God gives us all a unique calling.

You have to seek God.

It is a blessing in disguise when it seems like you are a misfit in an area of ministry. When no one else around you is moving in your direction, and it looks like you can’t turn to them for support. Being in this situation forces you to pray more and listen to the Holy Spirit.

That is how God will begin to unfold things for you. The more low-profile your gifting is, the greater the blessing because you’d depend more on God.

Frustration is a blessing.

Frustration is a catalyst for multiplication. Great multiplication can come out of the most frustrating seasons of your life.

It takes faith to activate the gifts in our lives that will make us effective disciples of nations.

We are the body of Christ, and just like any physical human body, we need more than a mere 10% of functioning parts to be deemed valid. Everyone must be on board flowing in our gifts.

The goal is to walk away after reading this book with the knowledge that you are not just a child of God but a child of God with a divine assignment (the gifts of God that we are stewards of).

They won’t work until you believe in them.

POSTSCRIPT

Last month I decided to join the Launch Team of the X Book written by John Bevere (JB).

A decision that came at no small cost to me, but I believe to be worth it.

Being part of the Launch Team meant that, amongst other things, I’d get 3 copies of the book and 2 Zoom meetings with JB.

As I write this, I have not yet received the book (shipment takes a while), but I decided to take full advantage of being part of the Launch Team.

Unfortunately, I could not join the first scheduled meeting with JB to discuss his new book, though, as a Launch Team member, I got access to the meeting recordings, the notes to which you’ve just read.

I fully believe that my experience centered on this book will take my life to the next level.

I invite you to join me on this journey to multiply our God-given potential!

Book Launch Date: 17th November, 2020
